"Count The Dots"
By Les and M. Porter
ARCADIAN 2, no. 10 (Sep. 17, 1980): 92-93.

From the "Arcadian:"

COUNT THE DOTS program puts up a random number of dots on the screen (max 17)
for a short period of time, and as soon as you've counted them, you pull the
trigger to stop the clock, and enter the amount in the keypad. The computer
will keep track of the score. "DIFFICULTY" sets the timing. Changing the X and
Y value, you change the size of the playing field. On the surface, this seems
to be just a simple game, but if we look a little deeper, we can see an
application in the field of ophthalmology - checking field of view of one's
eye, blind spot size, etc., and other ideas having to do with perception can be
developed.
